This west Little Rock contemporary home was designed by one of Little Rocks premiere architects, however, the cedar exterior had reached the end of its life after 28 years. Sideco and James Hardie had the perfect product to replace it ( James Hardie Color Plus vertical board / batt ). Along with new Marvin Windows and doors, Sideco was able to restore the magnificent home and keep the original modern look. The colors used are James Hardie Iron Gray with Sail cloth trim. The Marvin windows are black.
There are many homes in Arkansas with a rustic exterior design. These homes, mostly built in the 70’s and 80’s, utilized rough cut cedar from somewhere deep in Arkansas timber lands. Cedar does not last forever, it becomes very brittle after a while as well as very flammable and there is no way after it becomes dry you can do anything to it to make it look good
